Tremblor: A 4.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Andaman and Nicobar Islands
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Campbell Bay region of the Andaman and Nicobar islands on Monday, May 09, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected areas.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred on May 09, 2022, 01:11 am IST on latitude 7.72 and longitude 94.19 with a depth of 150km located 85 km North-Northeast (NNE) of Campbell Bay, Andaman and Nicobar island, India,” the NCS tweeted.
No reports of damages to life and property surfaced so far.
