Gujarat: Temperature may go up in the next two days
Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the temperature in Gujarat state may remain high in the next two days. The notice issued by the IMD said that “Heatwave conditions are highly likely to dominate in the regions of north Gujarat, including Banaskantha, in the districts of Saurashtra, especially Gir Somnath, Porbandar, and Kutch.”
On Monday, Kandla Airport in the Kutch district recorded a temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius, the highest maximum temperature recorded in Gujarat, as Rajkot, Porbandar districts also witnessed heatwave conditions.
On April 1, heatwave conditions are expected in Banaskantha, Rajkot, Porbandar, Amreli, and Kutch.
After Kandla Airport, temperatures reached 42 degrees Celsius in Surendranagar, 41.5 degrees in Keshod and Deesa, 41.3 degrees in Ahmedabad and Rajkot, 41.2 degrees in Amreli, 41 degrees in Bhuj, 40.6 degrees in Gandhinagar, and 40.2 degrees in Vadodara.
