Healthcare: India’s largest Panchakarma Centre to come up in Jodhpur
New Delhi: India’s largest Panchakarma Centre is proposed to be set up at the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur, at a cost of nearly Rs. 60 crore.
The university plans to develop it as an international wellness centre to promote health and tourism, sources said.
The multi-storey International Panchakarma Centre, having 100 beds and 60 cottages, would be constructed in a 2.75-hectare area within the university campus in nearly 18 months’ time.
A tourism and wellness centre will also be part of the Panchakarma Centre, which will facilitate wellness as well as medical tourism.
Besides lifestyle-related diseases, the centre will provide therapy for neurological, orthopaedic, and mental disorders.
It will be India’s largest government-run Panchakarma Centre. Kerala has a couple of privately-run Panchkarma Centres.
