PM Modi to inaugurate 9 new medical colleges in UP on July 30
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 9 new medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh on July 30.
According to a state government official, the PM will inaugurate colleges from the Siddharthnagar district. The colleges are set to begin functioning from July-end.
These medical colleges are located at Deoria, Etah, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, and Siddharthnagar districts.
“The state had only 12 medical colleges until 2017. During the Yogi government, their number has increased four-fold,” an official spokesperson said on Friday.
“The government plans to open medical colleges on the public-private partnership (PPP) model in 16 more districts that lack a medical college,” he added.
