New Delhi: The latest information provided by the government is a clear warning to vaccinated people. The government in its statement said that “91 percent of the people infected by the Omicron variant of COVID-19 have received both doses of vaccine with three having received booster doses, while only seven percent were unvaccinated.”

India has reported more than 350 cases of Omicron so far, and the study was conducted on 183 out of 350.

The analysis of the government showed that the majority of the Omicron cases in India were detected among those who have returned from foreign countries while only a few cases were reported among those who are unvaccinated.

While 73 percent of the new variant cases or 121 cases have a history of foreign travel.

The Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Friday said that “In 44 cases the infected had come in contact with foreign travelers, and information about 18 people were still not available.”
