Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister on Monday announced another lockdown till July one with some restrictions. The state government has eased certain curbs during the lockdown period.

According to the new order, government offices in West Bengal have been allowed to operate with 25 percent manpower and private and corporate offices will be allowed to remain open from 10 am to 4 pm with 25 percent strength.

Shops in the shopping mall and complexes are allowed to open between 11 am and 6 pm with a 50 percent workforce.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee further announced that the Movement of private vehicles to remain suspended excluding for emergency and All education institutes and waterways will remain closed. Sports activities can also resume without spectators.

The movement of people will be restricted between 9 pm and 5 am and Restaurants with bars have been permitted to open between 12 noon and 8 pm with a 50 percent seating capacity, she added.

According to the official data, West Bengal reported 14,61,257 cases so far and the overall fatalities have surged to 16,896 as more people succumbed to deadly disease during the same period.

Currently, there were 17,651 active cases of COVID-19 in West Bengal.
