Tremblor of magnitude 4.3 strikes Andaman and Nicobar Islands
New Delhi: An earthquake with a magnitude intensity of 4.3 on the Richter scale struck the Diglipur district and adjoining regions of Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the early hours of Friday, May 27, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph n Twitter, highlighting the affected areas.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred on May 27, 2022, 07:50 am IST on latitude 13.04 and longitude 93.44 with a depth of 32 km located 55km East-Southeast (ESE) of Diglipur, Andaman and Nicobar island, India,” the NCS informed.
No reports of damage to life or property surfaced so far.
