Tremblor: 4.6 Magnitude earthquake jolts Andaman Sea
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the Andaman Sea during the early hours of Wednesday, July 06, 2022. The region has been experiencing several earthquakes since the past few days.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) took to Twitter and shared a seismograph highlighting all the affected areas. The epicentre is said to be situated in the Andaman Sea.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred on July 6, 2022, 05:56 am IST, on latitude 10.67 and latitude 94.18 with a depth of 10km located in the Andaman Sea, India,” the NCS informed.
No damages or casualties were reported so far.
