New Delhi: As part of celebrating 75 years of the country’s Independence, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu presented 75 ambulances and 17 school buses on Monday to various government and non-government departments, and not-for-profit organizations working in the fields of health and education in various districts of Nepal.

Naveen Srivastava, the recently appointed ambassador to Nepal, handed over the keys to the officials in the presence of the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Devendra Paudel.

Srivastava referred to the long-standing traditions of the Government of India, under the Nepal-India Development Partnership Programme, to bolster the efforts of the Himalayan country to strengthen its infrastructure in the health and education sectors.

Poudel hailed New Delhi for undertaking numerous ongoing development initiatives in Nepal which will promote inter-ethnic relations and bilateral ties between the two nations.
