Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Titans team in Tata IPL 2022 has put more responsibilities on the shoulders of Rashid Khan by appointing him as vice-captain. The Gujarat Titans to play its first match against Lucknow Supergiants.
Gujarat Titans selected Rashid ahead of the bidding for INR 15 crore, the same price they spent for captain Hardik Pandya.
Rashid Khan is a cricketer of Afghanistan, and In the captaincy of Rashid Khan – Afghanistan won one Test, one ODI, and four T20Is while he was captain. Before the start of the last T20 World Cup, he quit as Afghanistan’s T20I captain.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan is looking forward to teaming up with Hardik Pandya at Gujarat Titans. The two have never played together in the IPL since they have represented separate clubs, but the leg-spinner has praised the Titans captain as the one with the great feelings.
Gujarat selected Hardik Pandya, Rashid khan, and Shubman Gill as their major picks ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction earlier this month, and they select Ashish Nehra as their main coach.
