Taliban meets Foreign Minister of China, Discuss current situation, bilateral relations
New Delhi: A latest released by the Taliban said that a delegation under the supervision of Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Emirate, met the Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yi and his accompanying delegation in Kabul to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and bilateral relations between two nations.
China and Pakistan could be the nations in the world that may recognize the Taliban as the government of Afghanistan at the international level.
The Chinese envoys at the UN Human Rights Council said that “the US army and the militaries of its coalition partners should be held accountable for rights violations allegedly committed in Afghanistan.”
Chinese Ambassador Chen Xu said that “Under the banner of democracy and human rights the US and other countries carry out military interventions in other sovereign states and impose their own model on countries with vastly different history and culture”.
The Taliban had seized power in Afghanistan on August 15, two weeks before the US deadline for complete troop withdrawal after waging a war that lasted for nearly 20 years.
According to International political experts – Pakistan and Sri Lanka are already falling weak economically after taking heavy debt from the Beijing government. The same thing can be possible with Afghanistan. China may fund the Taliban in huge amounts for its political interests.
