Taapsee Pannu shares poster of Shabaash Mithu on International Women’s Day 2022
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu shared the poster of her upcoming film, Shabaash Mithu, on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022.
Pannu shared the poster on her social media handle for fans and followers on Tuesday, March 08, 2022, with a caption that read, “She continues to inspire millions like me. To break a few stereotypes to lay down a new path ahead for many to follow. This Women’s Day, I am cheering for the front runners in the fight to break the bias.”
The poster showcases the actor donning a blue cricket jersey with ‘Mithali 3’ etched on the back. The character has a short, neat ponytail and is wearing cricket gloves- holding a helmet in her left and a cricket bat in her right hand as she overlooks a well-lighted stadium while her back faces the viewers.
Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, written by Priya Aven, lyrics by Amit Trivedi, and produced by Viacom18 Studios, Shabaash Mithu, is based on life of the current Indian women’s ODI cricket team captain, Mithali Raj, and stars Pannu in the titular role.
Subtitled the unheard story of women in blue, the film will chronicle the journey of the national team captain and aspires to become an inspiration for many young women. Actors Asad Ali Palijo and Vijay Raaz will also feature in pivotal roles.
