SOMNATH TEMPLE PRASAD TO BE PREPARED ON ECO FRIENDLY IRM ENERGY NATURAL GAS
Somnath: On 20th March, 2023 on the day of monthly ShivRatri, IRM Energy Limited a city gas distribution (CGD) company has started Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply to the prestigious Shree Somnath Mandir complex. The company has started supplying “natural gas” to the Trust’s kitchens including two “Prasad” kitchens, and “Nishulk Bhojnalaya” where pilgrims are provided free food. The supply of cleaner and safer fuel – PNG by IRM Energy will mark a milestone in the company’s commitment to public service and connecting thousands of consumers/pilgrims through natural gas pipeline services.
The PNG supply was inaugurated by Shri Yogendra Desai (Additional Collector, Secretary of Shree Somnath Trust) and Shri Karan Kaushal (Chief Executive Officer, IRM Energy Ltd) in the presence of devotees. Officers and the senior management team of IRM Energy Ltd were also present in the inaugural ceremony. Present during the occasion Shri P K Lahiri, secretary of the Somnath trust appreciated IRM energy’s out of the way efforts to connect the Mandir Complex through Natural Gas pipeline.
It is noteworthy that, in good faith and devotion towards the revered Shree Somnath temple, IRM Energy has not charged any gas security deposit and has sponsored entire internal gas pipelines costs at all 7 kitchens of the Somnath trust.
Moreover, the gas supplying company has also started supplying gas to households via gas pipeline in Veraval city. In April 2022 , IRM Energy Ltd had commissioned a state of art LCNG station in Veraval city which regasifies LNG to PNG and CNG to cater to the energy needs of the Veraval City and nearby areas.
IRM Energy is one of the growing CGD company in the country and as of February 28, 2022 is catering to the natural gas requirements of over 45,000 domestic customers, 175 industrial units and 221 commercial establishments across its operating Geographical Areas of Banaskantha , Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab)in addition to Diu and Gir Somnath . The company is rolling out CGD infrastructure in its newly acquired city of Tiruchirappalli and Nammakal Districts in Tamil Nadu.
