Russian President Putin offers to mediate the Israel-Iran conflict
New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to mediate to end the conflict between Iran and Israel. While speaking at a round table session at an international economic forum.
He stated that Moscow could help with negotiating with Tehran to pursue peace, an atomic program, and assuaging Israeli security concerns.
Mr. Putin said he shared Moscow’s proposals with Iran, Israel, and the United States. His comments follow a mediation offer that he made in a call with U.S. President Trump last weekend. He emphasised that Russia has a relationship with Iran and built its first nuclear power plant in Bushehr.
Russia has maintained and balanced delicate relationships when it comes to Middle Eastern nations. On the other hand, Russia has warm relations with Israel.
Russia has strong military ties with Iran, and thus, Russia has the chance to act as a power broker between the two nations.
