Prithviraj releases official trailer on Monday
Mumbai: Trailer of the upcoming Bollywood film Prithviraj released on Monday, May 09, 2022. The film will release on June 03, 2022.
The trailer narrates the story of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan and his courage. It also showcases the love story between Prithviraj Chauhan and his wife, Princess Sanyogita.
It begins with a grand ceremony where Prithviraj is crowned as the ruler of Delhi. The scene is followed by tales of his bravery that won over his wife, Princess Sanyogita. He even participates in the First Battle of Tarain against Mohammad Ghori.
Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share the trailer with the caption, “An immortal tale of valour and bravery…this is the story of Prithviraj Chauhan. To experience the trailer, check the link in Bio. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan with YRF only at a theatre near you on June 03.”
The film is based on an epic poem, Prithviraj Raso, by medieval poet Chand Bardai. Written in a Braj dialect, Raso traces the life of emperor Prithviraj Chauhan. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and backed by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj stars Akshay Kumar, Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Sakshi Tanwar, and Lalit Tiwari in pivotal roles. The film marks the Bollywood debut of the former Miss World 2017, Manushi Chillar.
