New Delhi: Amid the political crisis in Maharashtra, the Shivsena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said, “we might lose power, but we will continue to fight. Shivsena is a fighter,”
On a specific step of shivasenaleader Eknath Shinde – Sanjay Raut said, “Eknath Shinde is our very old party member, he is our friend, we have worked together for decades. It’s neither easy for him nor for us to leave each other. I had a conversation with him for an hour this morning, and the party chief was intimated about it,”
“Talks are underway with MLAs who are with Eknath Shinde, everybody will stay in Shiv Sena. Our party is a fighter, we will struggle consistently, at most we might lose power but we will continue to fight,” Raut added.
Eknath Shinde who arrived in Guwahati in BJP-ruled Assam early this morning said, “I have no complaints against the Sena leadership, but they have been upset with the style of a function of the NCP and Congress, the other two ruling alliance partners in the state,”
Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde claimed he has the support of 46 MLAs – 40 from his party and 6 Independents. Before leaving for Assam, Eknath Shinde and other party MLAs had been camping in a Surat hotel in Gujarat – another BJP-ruled state.
According to sources, Rebel Shivsena’s leader wants an alliance of Shivsena with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and jointly rule Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde added that he is not breaking away from Shiv Sena and will carry forward the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray. ‘We have not left Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and will not leave it. We believe in Hindutva,” he said.
