New Delhi: Teams SC East Bengal and Chennaiyin Football Club (CFC) played a 2-2 draw in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, Goa, on Wednesday, February 02, 2022.

The match began with SC’s Hira Mondal receiving the ball from the left flank. Mondal flicked the ball in his own goal and gave the opponents a point in the 2nd minute.

Mondal lost possession in the 15th minute when CFC’s Ninthoinganba Meetei darted from the right and lashed the ball across the SC keeper Arindam Bhattacharja. CFC was leading with 2-0 points against SC East Bengal.

CFC’s Jerry Lalrinzuala gave away the ball to SC’s Antonio Perosevic, who curled the ball to the far corner, but the attempt went over the crossbar in the 37th minute. Though two more minutes were added to the first half, no team could score a point.

The second half began with SC’s Darren Sidoel making a brilliant strike in the 61st minute. The ball directly flew past the CFC keeper, and the team earned its first goal. The goal by SC was followed by a period of several saved and stopped attempts.

Four minutes were added since both teams failed to score. Just then, SC’s substitute midfielder  Lalrinliana Hnamte made a diving header and equalised scores in the 91st minute.
