New Delhi: The Indian Army presented Tata LPTA 1628 workshop trucks to its Nepali counterpart at its headquarters at Tundikhel, Kathmandu, on Thursday.

Colonel Amit Sharma, India’s Defence Attaché, presented the trucks to Brigadier General Krishna Dev Bhatta of the Nepali Army on behalf of the Indian Army.

These workshop vehicles, which are part of the Tata Motors military truck family, function as a mobile workshop and will be important in ensuring the smooth and ongoing running of the Nepali Army’s transport fleet.

The donation of workshop trucks coincides with the return to the office of General Prabhu Ram Sharma, Chief of the Army Staff, Nepali Army, following the President of India’s recent conferment of the Honorary Rank of General of the Indian Army.
