New Delhi, January 31: Xavi Hernandez, Football Club Barcelona team’s coach, has announced to quit at the end of the current season, saying he is now “feeling liberated.” The Spanish coach announced this on January 27, adding he will not manage FC Barcelona again, the media reported. When a journalist asked during a press conference how he was feeling after he decided to quit, he said he was “feeling liberated.”

Asked why took this decision, Hernandez said: “Our job and what we have done is not well valued, and that’s why I decided that it (the season) was going to be my last one as a coach.” “They make you feel you are not worth it, every day. It happened to all coaches. I spoke to Pep Guardiola and he already told me, also with Ernesto Valverde, with Enrique I lived it, I saw him suffer.”

“The announcement liberated me on a personal level, but I remain very motivated.” This season was quite bad for him as the last two games were lost. FC Barcelona lost the games against Villarreal FC and Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup. Last season, his team had won two major cups including the Laliga and Super Cup.
