Delhi, April 19: German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann’s contract has been extended until the 2026 World Cup, the German Football Association(DFB) said on Friday.
In a statement released by GFA, Nagelsmann said, “It’s a great honor to be able to train the national team and work with the best players in the country.”
His contract was extended weeks before Germany is set to host the 2024 European championships in June and July.
Nagelsmann,36, was appointed as coach by Germany’s national team in September 2023.
He has never competed in UEFA and FIFA tournaments except in friendly games where he won three of his six games.
