Football: Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to miss Euro
New Delhi, May 1: Belgium and Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois will miss the 2024 Euro because of a knee injury, the media reported on Tuesday.
He has missed the entire season due to a knee ligament injury that forced him to have a surgery.
The Belgium coach, Domenico Tedesco confirmed to the reporters that Courtois will not be selected for the 2024 Euro Belgium squad. “We are focusing on the boys who are fit.”
Courtois,31, debuted in the Belgian national team in 2011 at the age of 19 and has earned 102 caps.
With Belgium, Courtois has competed in major tournaments in football including the World Cup and Euro.
