Earthquake Measuring 4.4 Magnitude Jolts Bikaner, Rajasthan
New Delhi: A moderate earthquake measuring an intensity of 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted Bikaner, Rajasthan, around 10:25 am IST on Wednesday.
The National Centre of Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph of the region on Twitter with a caption that read, “An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred on December 29, 2021, at 10:25 am IST on latitude 29.77, longitude 70.02, and depth of 25km located 374kms West-Northwest of Bikaner, Rajasthan.”
The tremblor was experienced weeks after an intense 4.3 magnitude earthquake was experienced in Bikaner on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
No damage or casualties have surfaced so far.
