Gurugram: The Haryana Government and Goa Authority have decided to extend the lockdown till July 12 with some restrictions. States like UP, Maharashtra, and Karnataka opened malls and shopping complexes from Today, as the infection rate of coronavirus has drastically decreased in the last few weeks.

According to the new restrictions, shops, malls, restaurants, religious places, corporate offices, gatherings at weddings, funerals, and open spaces will continue as usual in Haryana.

All shops are allowed to open from 9 am to 8 pm, malls from 10 am to 8 pm, and restaurants and bars, including those in hotels and malls, from 10 am to 10 pm with 50 percent seating capacity.

Swimming pools and spas will, however, continue to remain closed.

The Goa Authority has decided to extend the lockdown till July 12 to curb the spread of coronavirus. According to the new guidelines, the Goa state government will allow social, political, cultural gatherings, marriages, and other congregations of up to 100 people or 50 percent of the venue capacity. The casinos in the state, however, will continue to remain shut till July 12.

The state government of Goa had imposed the first curfew on May 9 and then consistently extended it to stop the spread of coronavirus. The previous extension was up to July 5.

The notification says that indoor sports complexes, auditoriums, community halls or similar places, river cruises, water-parks, entertainment parks, gyms, spas, massage parlors, cinema halls, theatres, and other establishments will continue to remain shut during the curfew period.

Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutes will also continue to remain closed for students, except for holding competitive examinations after taking prior permission from the authorities.

The government of India vaccinated around 350.28 million people with at least the first dose of vaccine. The recovery rate has improved to 97.11 percent.
