Raipur: At least four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier lost their lives and three got injured, after a colleague soldier allegedly opened fire in Sukma, Chhattisgarh.

According to the media report, the jawan shot them at a camp of the paramilitary force in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Monday.

Inspector-General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P said that “The incident occurred at around 3.45 am in the camp of CRPF’s 50th battalion in Lingampalli village of the district, around 400 km from the state capital Raipur.”

A soldier identified as Reetesh Ranjan, who opened fire on fellow soldiers in C/50 Lingalapalli under PS Maraiguda in the early hours at about 3:45 am. As per preliminary information, a jawan opened fire at his colleagues with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle. The soldier immediately held and his interrogation is underway, Says the officials.
