Boxing: Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk fight rescheduled to May 18
New Delhi, Feb 5: The contest between heavyweight fighters Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for February 17, has been postponed to May 18, 2024.
The decision was taken because of Tyson’s injury on February 2 while he was preparing for the fight in Saudi Arabia.
He had a freak cut on his right eye during a sparring session in Riyadh and requested a rescheduling of the event.
Turki al Alalashikh, an organizer of the event warned them that they would face
huge penalties if they pull out of their undisputed heavyweight fight.
Currently, both of them are holding the WBA, WBO, and IBF belts.
