BJP and Congress join hands to attack NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani
New Dehli :Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi criticized New York’s Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for New York’s Mayoral elections.
Taking to X, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi wrote When Zohran Mamdani opens his mouth, Pakistan’s PR team takes the day off. India doesn’t need enemies with ‘allies’ like him shouting fiction from New York.
Zohran Mamdani also faced criticism from the other side of the aisle in India, with BJP MP Kangana Ranaut also attacking the New York assemblyman.
According to the actor-turned-politician, Mamdani sounds more Pakistani than Indian.
Zohran Mamdani’s mother, Mira Nair, is a prominent filmmaker and also has been conferred with the Padma Shri, one of the highest civilian honors. She is married to Mehmood Mamdani (of Gujarati origin), a celebrated author, and there is Zohran Madmani.
Zohran has claimed victory over a wounded but still formidable former state governor, Andrew Cuomo, in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary.
As far as the poll results are concerned, the count resumes July 1 in New York City’s ranked-choice voting system. As of now, Mamdani has commanding lead over
