Badhaai Do set for a February 11 release
Mumbai: The Bollywood film, Badhaai Do is expected to have a countrywide theatrical release on February 11, 2022. The drama-comedy is set between a middle class family, where the lead characters pose as a couple in a lavender marriage.
Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, along with veteran actors Sheeba Chadda, Seema Pahwa, Loveleen Mishra & Nitesh Pandey, the film acts as a spiritual sequence to the Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Ayushmann Khurana, and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhai Ho, albeit with a twist.
The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, produced by Vineet Jain and Junglee Pictures, and distributed by Zee Studios. The film is written by Suman Adhikary, Akshat Ghildial, and Kulkarni.
Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi, Ankit Tiwari, and Khamosh Shah composed the music of the film, while Varun Grover, Vayu, Azeem Shirazi and Anvita Dutt wrote the lyrics. The background score is provided by Hitesh Sonik.
The Junglee Pictures released the first trailer of the film on January 25, 2022, whereas the Badhaai Do title track released on January 28, 2022. The title track is sung by Nakash Aziz and the song is choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.
Talking about her character in a recent interview, Bhumi Padnekar shared that the film will act as an eye-opener for the Indian audiences.
