aHMEDABAD: While making profits and employee engagement are pivotal factors that keep a business running, safety is an aspect that can’t be discounted. And Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) too believes in keeping safety their top priority under every circumstance. To honor the valour of various business partners who have always followed the safety guidelines, an award ceremony – ‘Samarthan’ – was organized by ATGL in Ahmedabad recently.  On this occasion, the group’s managing director Pranav Adani and CEO Suresh P. Mangalani were also present and launched the company’s safety anthem. Furthermore, they even released a book, ‘Learning from Incidents,’ encompassing many safety-related incidents.

The foremost purpose of organising this programme was to create awareness about the importance of safety culture. At the event, the company felicitated all the business partners who had diligently and religiously followed all the parameters with regard to health, safety, and environment (HSE) guidelines.

To ensure that every business partner follows the safety guidelines, the awards were distributed into three categories. The ‘Green Cap’ is for those who have been following all the HSE guidelines to the ‘T’, the ‘Yellow Cap’ is for those business partners who are meeting the basic HSE requirements, and the ‘Red Cap’ is for those partners who need to put in extra efforts to improve their performance. It was a proud moment for all, as there was a significant rise in the number of green cap recipients as compared to last year.

Pranav Adani congratulated all the winners and appreciated their determination to always keep up with every safety standard in an array of varied situations. The programme was attended by many dignitaries from the group and business partners across Gujarat. Pranav Ghosh, vice president of ATGL, moderated the entire programme while encouraging the participants to put their best foot forward when it comes to their performances.

ATGL has always worked consistently to educate consumers about gas mishaps and how to steer away from them. Currently, ATGL has been carrying out various precautionary measures and programmes in cities like Ahmedabad, Faridabad, Khurja, and Vadodara. The pipeline system is constantly monitored to ensure safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to households. Not only this, programmes like National Safety Week, Fire Service Week, Road Safety Week, Mock Drill, and various other safety awareness programmes are frequently organised to create awareness among people.
