Amarnath Yatra to commence on June 28
New Delhi: The Amarnath Yatra Shrine Board announced the date of the annual Amarnath Yatra. In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the 56 day long annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji will commence on June 28 and will conclude on August 22, media report said.
Decision over the commencement of the Amarnath pilgrimage from June 28 this year was taken in a meeting of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).
The Amarnath Yatra was cancelled due to Covid-19 last year.

Situated in a narrow gorge at the farther end of Lidder Valley, the Amarnath Shrine stands at 3,888 metres, 46 km from Pahalgam and 14 km from Baltal.”
