Amritsar: After recording the victory in Punjab, Aam Admi Party (AAP) will focus more on the future, and Kejriwal’s party may send former Cricketer and spinner Harbhajan Singh to Rajya Sabha. Harbhajan Singh may be given command of a sports institution by Punjab’s newly formed state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
On March 10, Harbhajan Singh Singh had welcomed Bhagwant Mann for being elected to the CM’s post with a tweet: “Congratulations to @AamAadmiParty and my friend #BhagwantMann on becoming our new chief minister… great to hear that he will be taking oath as the new CM in Bhagat Singh’s village Khatkarkalan…”
CM Bhagwant Mann will decide whether or not to promote sports in Punjab. After the AAP swept the Punjab Assembly election, Bhagwant Mann was invested in as the state’s Chief Minister on Wednesday afternoon. Bhagwant Mann chose the Khatkar Kalan area in Nawanshahr district, where Bhagat Singh was born, to take the oath.
