A girl talking with Rahul Gandhi in Nepal’s Night Club Bar was a friend of Bride: Congress
New Delhi: A video of Rahul Gandhi viral on social media raises many questions as the Congress leader was talking with a girl in Nepal’s Night Club Bar. Several social media users and some BJP leaders have alleged that Rahul Gandhi was seen with a Chinese diplomat in the video.
According to a media report, the woman Gandhi was talking to in the video was not Chinese. She was a Nepali woman and a friend of the bride and was also invited to the wedding ceremony.
On the rumor about Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala clarified that Rahul Gandhi was attending a friend’s wedding in Kathmandu.
Congress also countered BJP and said, “Rahul Gandhi hasn’t gone to Pakistan as an uninvited guest like PM Modi to cut a cake with Nawaz Sharif, and we know what happened in Pathankot,”
The Congress, however, hit back, saying it was not yet a crime to visit a friendly nation to attend a friend’s wedding, and it was much less egregious than Prime Minister Narendra Modi making a surprise visit to former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter’s wedding in 2015.
