New Delhi: The special cell of Delhi police on Monday arrested five suspected terrorists with weapons. Delhi police arrested them from Shakarpur area after the encounter. Shakarpur area is situated between Laxmi Nagar and Mayur Vihar.
According to sources – arrested five suspected men have links to Khalistan. Police recovered weapons and other incriminating material from them. Two men are from Punjab state and other three are from Jammu and Kashmir.
“The group was backed by ISI for Narcoterrorism. The name of the terror organisation is yet to be confirmed,” Delhi police said to the media.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Pramod Singh Kushwah said that “We have apprehended five persons after an exchange of fire. Weapons and other incriminating material have also been recovered from their possession. Some of them are suspected to have links with terror groups but this is being verified and further investigation is underway.”
The Special cell of Delhi police had arrested two terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad Group in last November.
