Jammu & Kashmir [India]: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has invited nominations and recommendations for the J&K Government Awards 2027, to be conferred on the eve of Republic Day 2027, recognising outstanding contributions and excellence across various fields. According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, nominations have been invited in 11 categories, including bravery, literature, performing arts, art and crafts, social reforms and empowerment, meritorious public service, lifetime achievement, sports, media, environmental protection and industrial entrepreneurship.
The notification specifies that two awards under the Meritorious Public Service category will be reserved for non-gazetted officials. Nominations can be submitted by social organisations, sports bodies, NGOs, Universities, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners. The government has asked all concerned to forward suitable nominations and recommendations of eligible individuals and organisations, along with citations and supporting documents, by or before November 25, 2026, for consideration.
