President Droupadi Murmu to visit Gujarat, Maharashtra from April 13–16
New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a four-day visit to Gujarat and Maharashtra from April 13 to 16, during which she will attend a series of academic and official events. The visit will see her preside over multiple convocation ceremonies and participate in programmes highlighting social harmony and national development.
On April 13, the President will attend the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rajkot. The following day, she will grace the ‘Samajik Samrasta Mahotsava’ at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar, held to commemorate the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar. She will also attend the fifth convocation ceremony of Rashtriya Raksha University on the same day.
Continuing her engagements on April 15, President Murmu will preside over the second convocation ceremony of AIIMS Nagpur in Nagpur. She will also attend the valediction ceremony of the 78th batch of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer trainees at the National Academy of Direct Taxes.
On the final day of her visit, April 16, the President will attend the sixth convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya in Wardha.
