Olympics’24: Swapnil Kusale wins a bronze in men’s 50m rifle shooting
New Delhi, August 1: Indian professional shooter Swapnil Kusale won a bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions, the media reported on Thursday. Kusale scored 451.4 to win the medal.
With his win, India won three bronze medals, and in the same sport, in the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, which commenced on July 26 and will conclude on August 11. After his victory as the first Indian shooter to win a medal in men’s 50m rifle 3p in Olympic history, Indian shooting legend Abhinav Bindra congratulated him.

Swapnil,28, becomes the third Indian shooter to win a bronze at the Paris Games after Manu Baker’s two bronze medals win in women’s 10m air pistol and Sarabjot Singh who won one bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team when he partnered with Manu this week.
