BTS Member Kim Namjoon becomes an Audio Guide
New Delhi: The leader of the popular Korean boy band, BTS, Kim Namjoon revealed on social media that he will become an audio guide for an upcoming exhibition on modern Korean art named, The Space Between The Modern in Korean Art.
The narrations are available in Korean and English languages at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and on the official website of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA).
Also known as RM, the leader shared details of his latest project on Instagram with a caption that read, “I personally participated in audio guide for some of the works I love for this historical exhibition. It’s available on-site at LACMA and online on the MMCA website.”
“The exhibition will explore the development of modern art in Korea driven by artists’ encounters with, and reinterpretations of, the foreign influences that came along to shape it,” he said.
The exhibition began on September 11 and will run till February 19, 2023. It will feature approximately 130 works and reflect on the foreign-introduced new media, while showcasing photography, sculpture, and oil and ink works.
According to the LACMA official website, “The visitors will be able to witness European-influenced art via Japan in the Korean Empire (1897–1910) and colonial period (1910–45), explores American influences absorbed throughout the Korean War (1950–53), and provides a glimpse into the beginning of the contemporary.”
