Tremblor: A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Afganistan
New Delhi: An earthquake with a magnitude intensity of 5.2 on the Richter scale hit the Fayzabad district of Afghanistan on Friday, June 17, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected regions. The region is experiencing a tremblor for the second time this week.
“Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred on June 17, 2022, 02:52 PM IST on latitude 36.46 and longitude 71.09 with a depth of 260 km located 85km Southeast (SE) of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the NCS tweeted.
Though the tremors also were felt in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, no reports of damage surfaced so far.
