TATA IPL 2022: GT has a chance to top the points table
Ahmedabad: A new team in the season, Gujarat Titans (GT) has a chance to top the point table by beating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday. Under the leadership of Shreyash Iyer, KKR lost the last three matches in a row against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
With their batting power and bowling ability, the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans have been on fire. The Shreyas Iyer-led team has fallen to seventh in the table after three losses in a row, and the task gets more difficult against the Titans, who have been a surprise in their first season.
Pandya pulled out of their last match against Chennai Super Kings owing to a groin injury, but it was business as usual for the Titans as stand-in skipper Rashid Khan led the team to a three-wicket win over the four-time champions.
The biggest plus in their win against CSK was Rashid’s sensational form with the bat as he smashed a 21-ball 40 to help his team chase down the target with a ball spare.
In the 2022 season, RCB has won five of their seven matches so far, while SRH has won four of their six games. SunRisers Hyderabad will try to extend their winning streak.
