Tremblor of Magnitude 3.6 Jolts Ladakh
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale jolted the Kargil region of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday, April 07, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared seismographs highlighting the affected areas on Twitter.
“Earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred on April 07, 2022, 05:12 PM IST on latitude 35.13 and longitude 75.56 with a depth of 35 km located 82 km Northwest (NW) of Kargil, Ladakh, India,” the NCS tweeted.
No reports of damage or casualties have surfaced so far.
