The Process and Gains of Meditation
Ahmedabad: Meditation has a long history dating back thousands of years to antiquity. The concepts of Yoga were divinely received by the Rishis (India’s enlightened elders) as a way of self-salvation, allowing a man to return to unity with his divine creator, God.
Meditation is the seventh stage toward spiritualism, according to the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, with samadhi—union with the creator being the eighth.
Meditation in simple words is deep rest that relaxes your mind and soul. It isn’t as complicated as it looks or how people have made it.

An Easy Step by Step Process-
•To begin with, sit up straight.
•Body Relaxation
•Breathe slowly and evenly.
•Slowly inhale while counting to eight.
•Hold the breath for another eight counts, then gently exhale to the same count.
•Inhale, hold and exhale to the count of eight without halting.
The Measured Breathing Exercise is what it’s called. Rep three to six times more.
Adjust the count to suit lung capacity, but maintain it constant during intake, holding, and exhaling. Inhale deeply, then exhale completely to complete the practice.
There is a meditation practice for everyone, whether one wants to alleviate stress or discover spiritual enlightenment.
Meditation isn’t supposed to be forced. So sit backside and start meditating.
