700 Detained in Kashmir after Civilian Killings
NEW DELHI, Oct 10: Alarmed by the recent indiscriminate killing of the civilians by the terrorists, including the Kashmiri Pandits, which has set pace for panic migration, the security forces in the union territory has stepped up vigil to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
The Security forces have detained over 700 people in Jammu and Kashmir in response to the killing of seven civilians, including those from the Kashmiri Pandit, Sikh and Muslim communities, in six days.
Among those detained are around 500 residents with suspected links to banned religious and terror groups, a senior police officer said. He said “no stone will be left unturned to find the killers.”
