Two tremblors jolt Arunachal Pradesh on Monday
New Delhi: Two earthquakes measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.3 and 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, September 05, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared seismographs on Twitter, highlighting the affected areas. The distance of the epicentre was calculated from the Basar district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Informing about the tremblor, NCS tweeted, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred on September 05, 2022, at 12:30 IST on latitude 31.86 and longitude 92.98 with a depth of 40 km located 461 km NNW of Basar, Arunachal Pradesh, India.”
A 4.5 magnitude tremblor was felt in the State earlier on Monday.
Talking about the earthquake, the NCS wrote, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred on September 05, 2022, at 11:08 IST on latitude 31.66 and longitude 92.91 with a depth of 40 km located 443 km NNW of Basar, Arunachal Pradesh, India.”
However, no reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far.
