Tremblor: A 4.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Ladakh
New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the Union Territory of Ladakh around 08:00 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected regions. According to the NCS, the epicentre of the tremblor lay nearly 293 km East-Northeast of the Leh district of Ladakh.
“Earthquake of Magnitude 4.1 occurred on July 26, 2022, at 08:42 am IST on latitude 35.18 and longitude 80.53 with a depth of 35km located 293km ENE of Leh, Ladakh, India,” the NCS informed.
No reports of damages to property or casualties surfaced so far.
