Torrent Gas slashes CNG Price by Rs. 2.50/Kg across all its locations
Torrent Gas, which has been authorised by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to provide Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in 34 districts has announced a reduction Rs. 2.50 / Kg in the retail price of CNG in its areas of operation across the country. This makes CNG cheaper by up to 45% vis a vis Petrol and upto 37% vis a vis Diesel. This reduction in prices of CNG has been done with an objective of promoting the usage of clean fuel and enhancing the ecosystem of natural gas.
This reduction in CNG price besides leading to greater savings for CNG vehicle owners; is also expected to give an impetus to sale of new CNG vehicles across various segments, including passenger and commercial. CNG, which is already known as clean and green fuel, owing to its environment friendly nature will become even more attractive for vehicle owners with this downward price revision. It will offer ncreased savings, along with better mileage and lower maintenance to all CNG vehicle users.
Speaking about the reduction in gas prices, Mr. Manoj Jain, Managing Director, Torrent Gas said, “Torrent Gas has always been at the forefront in promoting the use of environment friendly CNG. This reduction in CNG prices is expected to increase the offtake of new CNG vehicles and increase the consumption of natural gas in transport segment. Torrent Gas currently operates 428 CNG stations and has connected more than 1,00,000+ households with piped gas connections across 34 districts where it operates, making life easier and convenient for its customers.
