Torrent Gas Commences Supply of Piped Cooking Gas in Patiala
Torrent Gas, which has been authorised by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to provide Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Patiala, SAS Nagar, Sangrur and Malerkotla, has commenced the supply of Piped Cooking Gas to customers in Patiala city. Shri Aman Arora, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, New and Renewable Energy, Government of Punjab announced the commencement of 101 Piped Gas connections in a function held in Patiala today. The event was also attended by Dr Balbir Singh, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Punjab, Shri Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, MLA – Patiala Urban and Shri Harmit Singh Pathanmajra, MLA – Sanour along with senior government officials.
Piped Natural Gas (PNG) offers several distinct advantages to consumers vis a vis LPG. PNG is safe and reliable, does not consume storage space in the kitchen and alleviates of concerns about dry-outs and replacements. It also eliminates the need for advance bookings, where consumers pay after use. These advantages make PNG a compelling choice for consumers, offering both convenience and economy.
Speaking on the momentous occasion, Shri Aman Arora, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, New and Renewable Energy, said “The convenience of Piped Natural Gas is now available to citizens of Patiala. It takes away the need to book cylinders in advance and do the heavy lifting.” He also mentioned that Torrent Gas has already laid pipelines in Rajpura to provide domestic gas connections and more than 3250 customers are already enjoying the benefits of uninterrupted gas supply. He assured Torrent Gas of all the possible support from the government to lay the requisite infrastructure in Patiala.
