New Delhi: The US government will announce new arms supplies to Ukraine, worth $750 million in total, According to a media report.
The deliveries will be funded as part of the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services without congressional approval in response to an emergency, a media report said.
The White House said, “On April 8 that since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine it had already provided security aid to the Kyiv government worth $1.7 billion.”
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an early morning televised address that he had launched a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the leaders of the Donbas republics. Putin stressed that Moscow had no intention of occupying Ukrainian territories, the sole purpose of the operation, the leader stressed, is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
