Tamil Nadu: The Tamil Nadu Government has planned to distribute cakes for school children on children’s day this year.
The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation has invited bids to procure 61 lakh 84 thousand 566 sponge cake slices, weighing upto 45 gms on November 14. The procurement follows a reference from the Department of School Education and will be processed through an expedited tender procedure to meet the deadline.
The proposed supplies will include fruit, vanilla, chocolate and butter or milk sponge cake carrying details such as ingredients, nutritional information, batch number, manufacturing date and expiry or best before date.
