Sylvester Stallone’s First Look in Samaritan unveiled
New Delhi: The makers unveiled the first look of Hollywood actor, Sylvester Stallone from his upcoming film titled Samaritan, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 26, 2022.
Stallone plays the character of a superhero, which has been in hiding for two decades since a battle with his rival, Nemesis. Announced in 2019, Samaritan marks the actor’s latest venture into the superhero genre.
The story revolves around an ageing Samaritan, whose teenage neighbour tempts him out of retirement in order to save the Granite City. Described as a dark, new take on superhero movies, the story was previously adapted into the Mythos Comics graphic novels by Schut, Marc Olivent, and Renzo Podesta.
The actor shared the first look poster on his social media handles with a caption that read, “You wanted more Sylvester Stallone? Ask and you shall receive. Here’s the official poster for Samaritan, streaming August 26 on Prime Video.”
Directed by Julius Avery, the film also stars Javon Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, and Moises Arias in pivotal roles.
