New Delhi: A several families in Afghanistan on Friday shared very painful information. They said that “Several former government officials in Afghanistan have disappeared since the Taliban took over the country.”
According to the media reports, The Governor and Police Chief of the Laghman province had surrendered to the Taliban five days ago but they are still in the radical outfit’s custody. Former Police Chief of Ghazni’s PD1 is among the people who went missing after the Taliban’s takeover.
The people of Afghanistan are urging the Taliban to deliver promises made by them.
The Spokesman of the Taliban informed that “the group has forgiven people who had worked in the military or civilian sector with the previous government.”
Thousands of people are on roads to leave the nation as the government of the country collapsed on Sunday after Ashraf Ghani left the Capital of Afghanistan. Efforts are being made to maintain stability in Afghanistan.
The US State Department on Thursday said that it has airlifted more than 7,000 evacuees since Saturday and countries from all across the world have been evacuating their citizens as soon as possible as the future of Afghanistan is hanging in balance.
According to local media reports, The Taliban leaders are discussing future government plans in Afghanistan and are in touch with intra-Afghan parties.
