J&K: Three terrorists eliminate in an encounter with Security Force in Pulwama
Srinagar: The Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed three terrorists connected with the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). One terrorist neutralized by the armed forces was from Pakistan.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police said that “An encounter broke out early Wednesday between terrorists and security forces in the Chandgam area of Pulwama district.”
The Kashmir Police confirmed that three terrorists associated with JeM, including one Pakistani national killed were killed in the Pulwama encounter. The forces recovered a huge cache of arms from the encounter site.
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chandgam village after receiving the inputs of terrorists hiding in the area. However, as the forces were closing in on the terrorists, the latter opened fire, forcing the security personnel to retaliate.
“The encounter was a big success. Incriminating material, and arms and ammunition, including two M-4 carbines and one AK series rifle, were recovered,” the top official said.
